• Individuals must be at least 18 years old with a stable health for at least one year.

Preparation for Contoura Vision

• You will undergo vision testing, complete eye health check, and eye surface mapping and eye measurements. Based on these results, your doctor will decide whether to proceed with the procedure or not. 
• Since contact lenses can change the shape of your cornea, stop wearing them for the recommended period of time prior to the procedure. Generally, this period is one week for non toric lenses and three weeks for toric lenses.
• Your eye surgeon might also suggest that you cease taking any medications that raise the possibility of bleeding during the procedure. 
• One or two days prior to the procedure, an antibiotic eye drop might be given.
•  You’ll be told to fast for 3 hours prior to the procedure.

• The eye surgeon uses a specialized laser to reshape your cornea according to your recent detailed eye map in order to improve your vision and correct refractive errors.
• The whole procedure is generally completed within 30 minutes.

Post-Procedural Care for Contoura Vision

• Shortly after the procedure, you might feel some eye discomfort or experience blurred vision for sometime. A bandage contact lens will be applied  to protect your eyes.
