Wavikar Eye Institute provides Phaco Fellowship Programs in Mumbai to master the technique of Phacoemulsification, a cutting edge method in Cataract surgery.
During the fellowship programs in Mumbai, a fellow doctor is provided exposure to various clinical scenarios. Adequate care is taken to impart them clinical pearls in pre, post, and surgical management of Cataract.
Duration – One Year
Eligibility Criteria – The candidate must have completed DOMS (Opth.) or DNB (Opth.)
Objective – To train the Ophthalmologist through an advanced and exhaustive program to enhance skills in the recent advances in cataract diagnosis and management.
Fellowship Description – This is the more advanced course with a total 360-degree approach. The fellow is guided in sequential steps for preparedness for surgeries. The fellow participates in all aspects of the hospital including academic conferences, resident training, and OPD management. The fellow is mentored by none other than Dr.C.M.Wavikar.
Evaluation – The fellows are continuously evaluated during each step and at the end of the fellowship program. Here, the fellows are asked to complete a self-evaluation document before the commencement of the fellowship. The members of the faculty in charge review & evaluate the performance of each fellow.
